Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

FlippedNormals Lighting Pack

FlippedNormals Lighting Pack

The Flipped Normals Lighting Pack is a ready-to-use lighting tool for both MODO and Maya that allows you to generate beautifully lit, high quality renders of your meshes within minutes.

This lighting pack is extremely easy to navigate and use, allowing you to be up and rendering within a few minutes. I was able to create my first render in under five minutes from the time I opened the scene, imported my mesh, surveyed the options and produced a render.

The scene is packed with thirteen different lighting rigs, five custom pedestal meshes, and 45 custom materials to choose from. That’s over seven million combinations without having to edit a single value. Of course the scene is live which means you can edit any value you’d like, giving you virtually unlimited options all in one scene.

The team at FlippedNormals really kept it super simple without sacrificing quality. The renders that are created with these setups are beautiful, and they render quickly.

If you want to take the FlippedNormals Lighting Pack for a spin before buying it, they have a free version available for download. The free version is exactly the same as the paid one, except that it only contains one material, one pedestal-base and one environment-material. That said, the $39 price tag should make it affordable to all users wanting to create stunning renders of their meshes without any heavy lifting. A digital artist could update their online gallery with their digital meshes with ease using the lighting pack. I have been using  the Lighting Pack to showcase work in progress meshes as well as final models to my clients.

FlippedNormals  has created something extremely useful and very affordable. I’d recommend the Lighting Pack to any MODO or Maya artist looking to create stunning renders of their meshes. Visit the FlippedNormals site for more information and to add the Lighting Pack to you toolkit.

Below are some additional renders I created using the FlippedNormals Lighting Pack.
